Missing Person – John Quincy Adams

The Levy County Sheriff’s Office is seeking our public’s assistance in locating missing person John Quincy Adams 10/11/1969. Family members filed a missing person report to the LCSO on 11/15/21. Adams disappeared from his home in Morriston and has not been seen since 10/24/21 and has not been in contact with any family member since 10/31/21.
Adams may be suffering from depression and could be driving a white 2019 GMC 4 door truck (similar to the one pictured) with Florida tag number GBV J26. He has lived in the Williston/Morriston area most of his life and could still be in this general area or in the Alachua County area. Anyone who has information on where Adams can be located is asked to contact Detective Corporal C.J. Perryman at 352-486-5111.

Inglis Drug Arrest Made
LCSO Deputies arrested Wayne J. Maclin (7-6-91) of Inglis on October 26, 2021. The arrest resulted from a traffic stop conducted by Deputy Cody Weaver after he observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at Cason Boulevard and US 19. The vehicle was found to be operated by Maclin who did not have a valid driver’s license. Maclin was accompanied by a female and a four year old minor.
As Deputy Weaver continued his investigation, he located and seized suspected marijuana and methamphetamine in the vehicle and on Maclin’s person. Deputy Weaver also found numerous plastic bags and a set of scales in the vehicle. Some of the drugs were already packaged for resale.
Deputy Weaver arrested Maclin for Driving Without a Valid License and numerous drug and paraphernalia charges. Maclin remains in the Levy County Detention Center on a total bond of $62,000.00.

Steven Stacy – Captured
November 4, 2021
Levy County Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office, the Trenton Department of Public Safety and the United States Marshals Fugitive Apprehension Unit located and arrested Steven Stacy around 5:00 p.m. November 3, 2021 in the City of Trenton. On October 11, 2021 Stacy cut his electronic ankle monitoring device and fled on foot from his home north of Williston. Stacy, a registered sex offender who is currently on probation for tampering with evidence in a homicide investigation, had been able to evade capture until yesterday.
Stacy is being held at the Gilchrist County Jail awaiting transfer to the Levy County Detention Facility. He will be facing multiple charges to include tampering with an electronic monitoring device, multiple sex offender registration requirement violations and violation of probation. He will be held on a No BOND until his first court appearance in Levy County.

shooting that occurred during the early morning hours of October 30, 2021. The incident occurred at a residence south of
Chiefland at approximately 5:20 AM.
