Arrest In Montbrook

Montbrook, Florida-On August 8, 2009 Garry Chung the owner of Garry Chung Auto Services reported that during the night someone stole a 1994 Acura car, Mercury 25 horsepower boat motor, trolling motor and various other items from the business.

The suspects entered the impound yard by climbing over a three strand barb wire fence and stole the above items. The investigation led Detectives to James Stevens and Todd Bunting Jr. as suspects in this case. Stevens and Bunting used a hammer to break the front gate hinges in order to drive the stolen car from the business. Detectives recovered the stolen Acura valued at $ 1,500, boat motor and the trolling motor. Detectives arrested Stevens on August 19, 2009 and Bunting on August 20, 2009.

Stevens stated that he did not have any knowledge about this incident. Latent prints were located inside the stolen car and has been positively identified as Stevens finger prints. Bunting has confessed to detectives.
