Bronson Man Arrested On Drug & Gun Charges

Bronson, Florida-On July 31, 2009 drug agents from the Levy County Drug Task Force arrested James John Taylor for two counts of sale of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.



Drug agents received information that Taylor was selling oxycontin from his residence at 10530 NE 75 Street Bronson, Florida. Under the direction of the Drug Task Force a confidential informant purchased oxycontin from Taylor on October 2, 2008 and on November 19, 2008.



During the investigation agents received information that Taylor had several handguns inside the residence. In 2000 Taylor was convicted in Levy County for felony marijuana cultivation. On July 31, 2009 agents arrested Taylor for the drug transactions and also located a 9mm pistol, .22 caliber rifle and a .50 caliber black powder rifle and he was arrested for possession of firearms by a convicted felon.
