Loaded Gun Stolen Out Of A Morriston Home

Morriston, Florida- On August 26, 2009 deputies responded to 550 SE 215 Ave in reference to an alarm call.  Upon arrival deputies discovered that unknown person(s) forcibly entered the residence and stole a loaded .357 magnum revolver, jewelry box and a pillow case. 

 

Deputies located foot tracks leading from the residence to a heavily wooded area.  The Levy County Sheriff's Office K-9's and the Marion County Sheriff's Office helicopter responded to assist the ground units.  Sheriff's K-9 tracked to a location where it is believed that the suspect(s) entered a vehicle and left the area.

 

The Sheriff's Office received the alarm call at 11:51 AM and we are asking the public to contact Detective Mike Narayan if they seen any suspicious vehicles or persons on foot in the area of the victims residence. You can remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-877-349-8477 and $1,000 reward is being offered.
