Duo Arrested for Sex Crimes Against Child

June 22, 2017

On June 21, 2017, Levy County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested Jason Allen Fisher (12-1-81) and Ronald Arthur Adams (9-4-58) for multiple sex crimes committed against a child victim in Levy County, Florida.  The arrests are the result of cooperative efforts between the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), the University of Florida Child Protection Team (CPT) and the Levy County Sheriff’s Office.

Both subjects were charged with three felony counts that included Sexual Battery and Lewd and Lascivious Molestation of a child victim.  Fisher and Adams are being held at the Levy County Detention Center.  Their individual bonds were set at five million dollars each by Levy County Judge Tim Browning.

The terrible evidence uncovered in the case indicates the child victim was molested over a long period of time.  The offenses occurred in the Morriston area of the county.  Fisher and Adams were acquaintances of the victim’s family.  One of the victim’s relatives reported the abuse and the involved agencies immediately began building the case.

LCSO lead Investigator Mike McNeil expressed confidence that theses offenders will ultimately be convicted due to the high quality of the evidence developed in this case.  As always, LCSO encourages citizens to report anonymously suspected criminal activity to CrimeStoppers at 1-877-349-TIPS (8477).  Suspected child abuse or neglect cases can also be reported to DCF by calling 1-800-962-2873.
