Active Hostage Negotiation In-Progress

Negotiations End Peacefully
Jonathan Robinson was taken into custody at 5:00 pm after surrendering peacefully to deputies. Robinson is being evaluated by medical personnel from the Levy County Department of Public Safety and was not injured during the standoff. Robinson’s grandmother was not harmed and is also being evaluated by medical personnel.
Sheriff McCallum is relieved knowing this situation was resolved peacefully."The men and women of the LCSO are true professionals and answered this call with compassion and understanding. The Levy County Sheriff’s Office is currently on scene at 9851 NW 64 Terrace in Chiefland and deputies are negotiating with Jonathan Lloyd Robinson 6-3-93 for approximately 2 ½ hours, and pleading with him to surrender peacefully. Robinson was heard yelling at his grandmother by a neighbor. Robinson was overheard threatening to harm her, him and others. Robinson is reported to be armed with a handgun and the grandmother is still inside the home with him.

This scene is currently active, but contained to the home. There is currently no immediate threat to the community. Please stay away from this area and allow deputies to work.
