Chris Jones Arrested On Armed Burglaries

Chiefland, Florida-On August 18, 2009 Detective's Morgan & Martin arrested Christopher Wade Jones for one count of burglary, one count armed burglary, two counts of grand theft and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

 

On January 30, 2009 a residence was burglarized at 8030 NW 127 Place in Chiefland.  A Hobart welder was stolen valued at $ 1,000.  Through an intense investigation Detectives were able to locate the stolen welder in Gilchrist County and Detectives received their first break. 

 

On June 23, 2009 another residence was burglarized at 8031 NW 170 Street Fanning Springs.  During the heist numerous loaded guns were stolen.

 

During the eight month investigation Detective Morgan & Martin had Jones as the primary suspect in numerous crimes.  On August 18, 2009 Detectives arrested Jones and he confessed to the above burglaries and two additional burglaries.  Jones has been convicted of grand theft and felony manufacturing of cannabis and was not allowed to posses a firearm.

 

The investigation continues and Jones will be charged with additional charges.  If anyone has any information on Jones' or his related criminal activity is asked to contact Detectives Morgan and Martin.
