Wanted Fugitive Arrested

The Levy County Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force arrested Derrick Bowers on Levy County warrants. Bowers has been on the run for the past three weeks as a wanted fugitive and he was located at 3155 NW 120th Street in Chiefland. The Task Force agents are sworn US Marshals and members of the US Marshals Service Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force. Bowers had nine warrants for five counts sale of a controlled substance, four counts of sale of cocaine within 1000 feet from a place of worship, eight counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. Bowers was lodged in the Levy County Jail on a $ 430,000 bond.
