The Levy County Sheriff’s Office
received a request from the Levy County Parks and Recreation Director Matt
Weldon to consider closing all County boat ramps. Sheriff McCallum, after
consultation with County Commission Chairman John Meeks, has ordered all Levy
County boat
ramps to be closed effective immediately and until further notice.

This action is being done as a precautionary measure for the safety of all of our citizens.

Please be advised that in consultation
with John MacDonald, Levy County Emergency Management Director, the decision
has been made to close CR40 west of CR40A to vehicular traffic, effective at
1300 today due to storm surge potential.
