Sheriff McCallum, along with Cedar Key Police Chief
Virgil Sandlin and Levy County Emergency Management Director John MacDonald, has
made a combined decision to close SR 24 at the Number 4 Bridge in Cedar Key.
The storm surge has covered the road. And, the road will remain closed until
further notice.
Law Enforcement is stationed at the road closure and
will not allow anyone past this point without verification that he/she either
reside in Cedar Key or work there.
