The Levy County
Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force (DTF) and members of the Sheriff’s Office K-9
Unit worked traffic interdiction in the Rosewood and Cedar Key area on Thursday,
September 28th during the afternoon and evening hours. Citizens in
these small communities have recently filed complaints after observing
increased drug use and sales.
Deputy Gary
Garboski, his partner K-9 Molly, and members of the DTF conducted a traffic
stop on SR 24 in the Rosewood area on a passenger car that had illegal window
tint. The following road side investigation discovered the passenger of the
vehicle, Aaron Ryan Eugene Roscoe (03/23/1993), who lists a Dunnellon address,
was in possession of methamphetamine. Roscoe also had a loaded 40 Caliber
handgun concealed in his waist band at the time of the stop.
In addition to
these law violations, investigators discovered Roscoe was wanted in Citrus
County for violation of probation, the original charge in 2017 was for carrying
a concealed firearm. Roscoe was arrested by DTF investigators for the following
charges:

Firearm during Felony: bond $200,000.00

Paraphernalia: bond $25,000.00
Roscoe will be held at the Levy County Detention Facility
awaiting trial. Once the charges filed in Levy County have been processed by
our courts, he will then be transferred to Citrus County to answer for his
violation charge.
