Investigators Arrest Man for Robbery and Commercial Burglaries

May 4, 2016

LCSO Investigators recently made an arrest on two reported commercial burglaries which occurred on 4-9-16 and 4-29-16 at the Little Food Ranch on 121. During each of these burglaries, the owner reported the suspect broke the front door window with a cinder block and took lottery tickets, rolled coins and cigarettes. The owner reported a combined loss of approximately $1,635.00 including damage to the building.

Investigators recovered images of the suspect from store surveillance and later on the 29th received a tip. The tipster told investigators Augustino Petracca Jazikoff (9-3-85) was responsible for the break-ins. Investigators located Jazikoff and during an interview he admitted to the break-ins.

Investigators knew Jazikoff had been reported to be a suspect in a robbery. A 20 year old man reported to LCSO on 4-14-16 Jazikoff stole his phone and hat while holding a knife to his throat. Investigators confronted Jazikoff who admitted to holding a knife to a man’s throat and taking his hat and cell phone. Jazikoff told investigators he was protecting a young lady from being raped. Both the victim and his female companion denied any such act was occurring.

Jazikoff was booked into the Levy County Detention Facility and has been charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of grand theft and robbery with a weapon. Jazikoff additionally had a warrant for his arrest from Alachua County. His bond has been set at $417,000.00.
