Flooding In Fowlers Bluff

The flood warning is still in effect and the Suwanee river is expected to crest on April 22, 2009. Flood stage in Fowlers Bluff is 5.5 feet and as of April 18, 2009 the water level is at 6.8 feet. We asking the citizens to monitor the latest forecast and be prepared to take the necessary precautions to protect life and property. Please remember the State of Florida motto if you see water over the road "Turn Around And Don't Drown".

The Levy County Sheriff's Office continues extra patrol in the Fowlers Bluff, Camp Azalea and Manatee Springs area. Our Marine patrol will continue to patrol the waterways and has a zero tolerance for looters and also boaters creating a wake on the Suwanee river. Due to the flooding in the Fowlers Bluff the Sheriff's Office is only allowing local residents to travel in the affective areas.
